Visit Wales for outdoor activities and Sports
You don’t need to go far in the United Kingdom in order to find quality outdoor activities that can be suitable for those with a wide range of fitness levels. Many people are now looking at visiting Wales for team building event days, as well as stag and hen parties – with Snowdonia (in North Wales) being one of the most popular destinations. In fact the mountainous Snowdonia is fastly becoming described as “the UK’s number one activity centre” by many adventurers.
Snowdonia is the home of many popular outdoor activities in Wales with activities allowing you to take part in adrenalin filed situations such as mountaineering or canoeing. Other activities include white water rafting, surfing and the more stag and hen party based activity – paint balling!
In Llanberis the main attraction without doubt is Mount Snowdon – the highest mountain in England and Wales. The longest , but easiest route to the summit of Mount Snowdon begins in Llanberis but if you don’t fancy or don’t think that you could complete the journey on foot, there are regular trains!
For those who aren’t so inclined there is also the more relaxed mountain biking, horse riding or even plain old walking! One of the appeals of Snowdonia is that you don’t have to do anything that is too strenuous on your holidays or mini break, with so many attractions that are suitable for all sorts of people – with the more popular activities such as go-karts and even theme parks.
If you are looking for something a little more relaxed, try Glasfryn park where you can enjoy ten pin bowling, archery and fishing amongst others. For food lovers there’s even a Farm shop where you can buy quality food produce.
As well as this, Snowdonia is just as famous for its castles, with Caernarfon and Conwy boasting excellently preserved medieval castles and town walls. There’s also a Norman-style 19th century castellated mansion – Penrhyn Castle – at Bangor.
So if you are looking for a location for your activities, try Snowdonia in North Wales, you’ll have a great time!
