It feels like you are interacting with folk, pushing yourself to be successful against a challenge and simply living life. Except for this though lies a dignified sense of fair play and honour even in losing. To put your all into something and be happy about it irrespective of what the result isn’t just a sport lesson but a life lesson too. Many studies have been carried out to look at the advantages and significance of sport especially for growing children and in virtually all cases it has demonstrated to be of big benefit.

Some states however are much more serious about sport than others…. I spent split my adolescence between Australia and Eire and I will tell you that they used to be a world apart when it came to their respective approaches to sport. Australia is sport nutty and this is high on its list of concerns in life. I found Eire to be less so and the experience of growing up there had been more targeted on a classical kind of education with sport as a late addition. Even kids who aren’t sport inclined, and there’s not much wrong with that, should be inspired to take part in sport in their developing years. It’s not solely about the game or being good at the talents needed to play it, it’s about interactions with others, teamwork, and easy being outside in the unpolluted air sometimes! Collaboration forces a life experience on you and teaches you so much about the world in general. These are all significant lessons for later in life irrespective of the trail you take.

Sport is the best way to get active and get outside. It’s all about studying about yourself and others – it’s all about living.
